  Grand Opening of Fourth

Summer Classics Licensee

Although its Summer Classics Home showroom has been open since April 1, Fortin Ironworks in Columbus, Ohio, held a Celebration Party on Thursday evening, and a Grand Opening today.

The Thursday evening party attracted approximately 250 people, according to Josh VanGundy, Project manager, and traffic during the Grand Opening has been strong.

"Ever since we opened the doors to Summer Classics Home," said VanGundy, "business has been great. Even at this point (April 13), it's a record month for Summer Classics in our store. In fact, Summer Classics gives us a monthly goal, and we beat it the first week."

Fortin Ironworks was founded in 1946 as a small iron repair shop. Today it operates out of a 56,000 sq. ft. facility that includes the 5,500 sq. ft. Summer Classics Home area.

Other Summer Classics licensees are in Mobile, Alabama; St. Louis, Missouri; and Louisville, Kentucky.
