Firstly, I must say “thank you.” It is because of the customers, the Summer Classics team, and God’s provision that this company is what it is today. This is certainly a gracious gift. I am fortunate to have been surrounded by a host of incredibly talented individuals that have been with me throughout this journey. Summer Classics, which started out so humbly, has grown into a fantastic business which far exceeds anything I could have imagined nearly 40 years ago. Our products represent the hard work and dedication of every member of the Summer Classics family. When talking with customers, I see that the passion that goes into what we do is not lost. There is no greater fulfillment for me than seeing our vision come to life, and to share it with others. The enjoyment comes full circle. We are incredibly optimistic about what this new decade holds. Fashions and styles will be ever-changing, but the foundation of Summer Classics will stay the same. Timeless design and flawless implementation are our guideposts for continued success. Those elements have never been more necessary than now. Our latest lines, from Circa(R) to Aire(R) are the cure for the common garden. They are representations of the boundary-breaking we enjoy at Summer Classics. Not only is Circa the first sling chair we have ever designed, but its sleek, modern lines are an exciting compliment to the more traditional designs that have been so successful for us. Aire and Strata(R) are two new lines that offer classic design at a more accessible price point than many of our other collections. Just because the economy is less than lovely doesn’t mean our gardens, back yards and porches should be. Many, many hours of winnowing through hundreds of new fabric designs have enabled us to provide our customers with the most diverse, complimentary and beautiful collection of fabric choices to date. We have outdone ourselves again and are proud to show off our customized, exclusive patterns. Our indoor line of furnishings, which just debuted at the AmericasMart in Atlanta this January, have been flourishing and resonating with our dealers and customers who have been traditionally accustomed to our outdoor line. This is just another example of how we strive to meet our customers’ needs. For them, we are committed to do whatever it takes. As our customers change, we change with them. We listen to them and grow together. That is what makes the difference at Summer Classics. We are passionate about what we do and it shows. Superlative design, unparalleled customer service and copious doses of heart and soul are what set Summer Classics apart from the rest. I wish all of you a happy new decade.
